I'm curious as to whether or not this thing is still alive or something, seems like the OCTs I'm interested in joining are all either dead, not accepting auditions, have too little time left for the deadline or don't take writers @-@

SSgt. Griggs: Oh, you gotta be shittin' me!
Cpt. Price: Gaz, can't you make it open faster?
Gaz: Negative, sir. But you can try pulling it if it'll make you feel better
Cpt. Price: ...Cheeky bastard

This actually looks really interesting. it sort of bugged me other OCTs that prohibit killing. It's a tournament - deaths happen. It's all fictional anyway.

I'm a little bummed I can't make it as gory as I'd like, and I'm hoping you'll be a little lenient when it comes to it.

Just out of curiousity - has ANYONE entered yet? Because I'd really like to, but I'd be depressed if the OCT is shut down because of lack of contestants

"Sonic the Porcupine is NOT ALOUD." I've heard that you've been asking for judges admitting your current judges have no judging or administrative experience whatsoever. This coupled with a hazy story, laughable rules (banning alliances? what does this add to the story?) and just the general silliness of the whole premise leads me to believe you'd be better off getting some experience first (whoever's running this), declare who's in charge of this, spell check your journals and rethink some of the limitations you'd impose on would-be competitors. As a judge from two OC leagues, I can say confidently that declaring 'no drama allowed' is just asking for it. Good luck.

Yes, it's true that I have no experience with this, and this is probably a shaky start to it, but i just wanted to have fun. This OCT will probably die in a few weeks, but i wanted to get my idea out there.

I'm going around saying that because i desperately need the advise, so i can make it more fun for everyone. Also, i did that so people like you would be draw to this and give the advise that you've given, so thank you

One reason that i put that Sonic the Porcupine thing up is because i just wanted to lighten the mood, but it seems i have lightened it a little too much.

The story could have needed work, though i have no clue where, so please (if you could) tell me where i could improve on the story and rules.

Thank you for your input and i'll try to be more professional next time.
:iconniichts:
This is the reason the OCT scene died, too many people thinking they had good ideas for tournaments and 1,000 of them popping up everywhere.
So actually, your tourney name is quite ironic, so kudos for that.
:icondie-oct:
wait.... so you still think it's a bad idea ;.; xD

yeah it's fine, it was just something i thought of, and i was bored. Though i think it would be interesting if some people joined and actually did something, but it's find if they don't
:iconmyrmadon:
I'm going to have to agree with this. Especially with the horrible spellchecking. It makes it look rather unprofessional, not to mention that it gives the opinion that you didn't bother to put enough effort into creating this to spellcheck it.

Also, the stories in OCTs are always made by the participants. Limiting them to kill and only kill will make the story itself suffer. Some of the best stuff that can happen is THROUGH a character surviving or alliance forming. The whole purpose isn't just to see who can make the best killer ever, it's about the story composed by everyone involved.

Also, what's a gymic?

:icondiggorylost:
I can't say anything about the spelling or "Gymic" but a "you have to kill your opponent" can be performed well, especially when everyone seems to team up with everyone ever.
I might join this OCT, just because of this limitation. Your character becomes the focus of this story instead of his interactions. If you make a character that doesn't like to kill, but to gain the reward must kill, will that affect the character?

Tell me how I'm wrong
:icondie-oct:
i've spell checked the rules, and i'm aware that it doesn't look profession, mostly because i'm new to this sort of thing.

Though it does limit the story, i just wanted to be original with the tournament. I thought it would be snazzy if there was a twist, but i guess i was wrong.

thanks for the pointers
